Welcome to the official Tarbert Festivals website. Hosting up to ten events a year, Tarbert is a real festival hotspot. Whether you’re a sailor, music lover, a passionate foodie or are looking for some great family entertainment, you’ll find it all in Tarbert. Tarbert has a rich history as a traditional fishing village. Our seafood is legendary and you can sample it in the hotels and restaurants which line the harbour. Our stunning natural harbour is the backdrop for many of our festivals. The harbour is ‘home’ to the yachts competing in Scottish Series, an internationally recognised yacht race. You’ll find it lined with stalls selling the best quality seafood during the Seafood Festival, filled with traditional boats from the UK and beyond during the Traditional Boat Festival and even welcoming Vikings during the Loch Fyne Viking Festival and music for all during the Music Festival! We encourage visitors to get involved with our festivals too – you don’t need to be young, just young at heart and ready to have a day to remember. Whether that means dancing in the marquee during the Scottish Series, on the quay during the Seafood and Music Festivals or listening to an author discuss their latest novel at the Book Festival, the choice is yours. Funding is vital for Tarbert Festivals, as it allows us to provide free family friendly experiences for both locals and visitors. Tarbert is renowned for its hospitality and our festival weekends are, without a doubt, a huge driver for tourists to come to the area. We are very grateful for the support of Argyll and Bute Council which has been a main funder, together with the Co-op and Clyde Fishermen’s Association. Not visited Tarbert yet?
